Using external drive for media...

    I wanna use an external drive for storing media etc.. Is it possible to point iPhoto, iTunes etc to use the external drive only??

    I don't use iPhoto but it certainly is possible with iTunes - my main music folder and the library files themselves are sitting on a Windows Home Server and it all works fine. You might want to create a second library file stored locally that iTunes points to when the external drive is not connected (otherwise you won't be able to open iTunes without the drive) but you can easily switch between two or more libraries by holding down the option key when starting iTunes.

    I'm guessing iPhoto probably works in a similar way, but I don't have any experience with it to be 100% sure...
