mountain marathons

    Ever run mountain marathons or are you all stuck to the tarmac?

    Not officially, but maybe someday. I did the three peaks in Yorkshire which was savage and only about 2 miles short of the marathon distance. That race has a bit of everything though.

    cool, i reccomend the mourne mountain marathon because you can really take it at your own pace. i ran it last year good craic

    I can't quite bring myself to recommend the 3 peaks. The expression cruel hardship comes to mind.

    Something I'd love to try, but, as I refuse to learn how to drive I'm stuck with training locally and Dublin races that I can cycle to/nab a lift from my mammy or daddy for. I'd love to go out to the mountains to train an' all. :(
