PS3 Question (Bluetooth)

Can I send a music file on my PS3 to my blue tooth phone?

Just got my PS3 and am still in the whole giddy thrill mode when you try new stuff out.

Also my TV's resolution is 1680x1050 (I think that means its HD ready but not Full HD).

So what resolution should I be setting my PS3 to (I went with 1080i initially) and as MGS4 says 720p on the back of the box should I be switching the resolution to max on a game per game basis?

    Thanks you.

I'm not sure if you can send files via bluetooth, but I've never tried so what do I know. Have a look in connected devices under 'System', I think there's a setting in there to pair devices with the PS3. I've heard of people sending files to the PS3 from their phones, perhaps it works the other way too.

What size screen is your TV? Anything up to 32" and there'll be no difference between 720p and 1080p, so I'd go with 720p. Like you point out, most games are 720p anyway (if even).

    Add me on PSN! :D

Okay cool, Its just I have a bluetooth mobile that can't be connected physically to anything (usb wise) and I have no bluetooth adaptor for my PC.

I'll probly stick it to 720 then, the text is alot smaller in the PS menu screen when I went above 720.

I'll add you as soon as I get online. I got a wireless router of a mate but I can't even figure out how to get it running on the PC so I am being forced to use the old wired one.

AFAIK the only phone that can be paired with the ps3 is the SE C905. I have a SE k850 and haven't had any luck in pairing.

As for the resolution, let the ps3 auto select the resolution. It'll switcth between 1080i and 720p automatically.

Why would you upscale a game encoded at 720p up to 1080i? Might get a bit blurry/grainy. Not as bad as upscaling a DVD, but I'm sure you get what I'm saying.

What model wireless router did you get? If you post specs maybe someone will have an idea that might help you. Any specific problem you're having?

Heres a link to the problem thread I made on boards

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055438749

Just can't get online with it. The local area connection symbol keeps trying the saying a Network cable is unplugged then tryinf again then a nwetwork cable is unplugged..etc etc.

Im a bit green when it comes to these things. just can't see a permanent ay to get a wired connection from my room to the router you see so this would be great to get fixed.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge on those power socket plugin devices that send an internet connection from a power socket beside your router to a power socket elsewhere in the house?
