Zavvi are doing 2 Blu-rays for €30 in store. Not a bad selection. Wall-E and the new Narnia film are in there amongst others.

good value for blu rays, but I'd rather buy 2nd hand on dvd for about half the price

Not bad value for DVD, but sure you can pick up VHS for pennies these days.

Zavvi are in financial trouble and may not be around much longer - so get any bargains while you can.

not surprised they're struggling, trying to sell from shops in high-rent locations at internet prices

Wall-E is the best looking Blu-Ray I have ever seen. Ever Blu-Ray owner should have this film, seriously shows the step up over DVD.

Store in the Square is not on the weblist of stores so it is gone.Student discount also is available so they would be 2 4 €27

Good value.. have got bout €8 left that I need to use on my Zavvi Gift Card that'd bring it down a bit more.

Will take a look in after work tomorrow.. definitely getting WALL-E if it's there.

I looked at their website a few weeks ago and they were not taking orders as they could not guarantee stock of any DVDs, but this was because Woolworths was their supplier. This seems to have been fixed now (they are back taking orders again). I didn't know they were actually in trouble themselves.

Was in the other day and didn't see wall-e. Never seen it before but everyone does say it's awesome..

I was going to get total recall but couldn't find a second film to go with it. Always a problem for me with these "buy one get one free" or two for whatever deals :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 578 ✭✭✭boopolo

A good price for in-store. Most of those titles can be bought from bladvd for '2 blu-rays for £18'

    Total recall is £12.91 here

Forget VHS, I had a guy actually pay me to take his Betamax tapes off him!

    Sucker.

Are there any Betamax machines still around? It is hard enough to get a VHS machine these days.

Picked up Pan's Labyrinth and WALL-E in Sligo this evening.

Used what was left on my Zavvi Gift Card - paid €19. Great as i thought I only had about €7 left on it.

PS - thought Fincher's Zodiac was in the offer.. but it was just in the same section. It was €33! :(

I was hoping for REC.. but they didn't have it in Blu-Ray. Doesn't help that the staff in the Sligo store are mostly ignorant.

I think WALL-E was the newest title they had in the promotion.. as I spend a good 20 minutes scouring the shelves (yes, sad I know).

I got wall-e and unbreakable in liffey valley last night as well. have to say they got a pretty decent selection for that price.:)

Wall E is in Blanch in the 2 for 30. However it wasn't in the main 2 for 30 section. It was with a few other titles, Casino Royale, Super Bad etc. but it is labeled 2 for 30.

Was there this morning and picked it up with Starship Troopers.
