Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wood pellet or solid fuel stove?

I need to get an extra boiler to supplement my air-to-water heating system. I am considering a wood pellet boiler, but am wondering should I also consider a solid fuel range (with a back boiler).

What do you think? Due to the trouble I am having with my air-to-water, I am going a bit cynical about this whole green heating thing.

    Thanks for any replies.

Record Having spend the weekend trying to get my auger motor working on my wood pellet boiler to no avail I too am have a bad hair day with the renewable stuff, lots of good equipment installed by idiots who havn't a clue!! Go with a simple solid fuel stove, its a lot cheaper than a pellet boiler, you only need a match and firelighters to turn it on (ie it works if you've no power!!) and if you want to be green(ish) burn mainly timber in it. :D
