im interested in meeting up with other players ( guitar, bass, drums etc) but only as a means to advance my playing.

Much advice on getting better at playing says to play in a group, join a band etc.

im not at a level where'd i feel comfortable in a band yet, but would like to play in a group with other individuals.

do such groups exist in dublin?

You could do what we've done before - arrange for a meet up in a rehearsal studio and just go. There's enough people of all levels of ability on this forum to make it work.
