When I play vidoes on my laptop, there is a lot of flickering. I played one AVI video on a desktop and it was fine, transferred it to the laptop and then it flickers a bit when theres motion on the screen. Like panning around a landscape quickly, people running, etc. general movements.

Its not a whole lot but it is noticeable and annoying when I'm wacthing something. I've checked the video card has the latest drivers and the refresh rate is 60Hz and thats as high as it will go.

Anyone know what might be wrong? Thanks

Are you running it in battery saver mode? Video playback of hi-def can often rack up more CPU use than normal. Try it in max performance. Otherwise it might simply be the case that the laptop is underpowered

what are the specs of both the desktop and laptop
