We were very fortunate to have another excellent seminar in Archa Tong Muaythai with Richard and Zippy the weekend before last. Due to a funeral of a family member and a christening on the Saturday I was disappointed in not been able to attend but thankfully got to do Sundays session.

The first part of the Sunday session was working on Wai Kru which is so important to so many aspects of Muaythai with Richard and Zippy emphasizing the many areas to that need to be trained. From here we went onto some combinations working both defensive footwork as well as offensive technique. After over 4 hours of hard training we finished with some lovely:D conditioning exercises which are a little bit difficult to describe but basically Muaythai techniques worked from on your back on the ground and then lying face down on the mats.

On behalf of SEAMA and NUIG Muaythai, I would like to thank Richard and Zippy, my good friend Jason O'Ceallaigh, Ross Conboy and all the guys who supported the seminar and raised money for a VERY worthwhile cause, namely the Golden Horse Monastery (Wat Maa Tong).
