Where are the worst pot holes you have to dodge on your commute each day around Dublin City Centre? here are a few that bug me ..

The two in the middle of the lanes turning onto Dame St from College Green -basically just outside gates of Trinity -right killers!

outside the front door of The Irish Times ,what patchwork talent !

along Rathmines before Jo Burger , another 2 bumpers ..

Any of the cycle lanes really, I think they are too numerous to list. I don't think I have ever cycled along one and gone "wow, this is really well made and in no way dangerous".

Pot holes I can dodge, cars parked in Ranelagh on the cycle lane really bug me.

often thought of sticking camcorder on my bike and going for a spin round town - don't have a camcorder tho.. add a basket and have keys or something noisy inside on front just for audible sound effects !!!! and upload it as "Cycle Friendly Dublin- A TO Z "-send a copy to DCC;)

I think cyclopath or someone took some vids before. Up there on youtube or somewhere.

Unbelievable yes on the cars in Ranelagh btw.

Not exactly a pot hole but a few weeks ago I was amazed by the resurfacing of Merrion Road (from the Gates to the Merrion Centre). However, I noticed today a good bit of it looks like it's starting to wear away - that or else there just a large build up of gunk on the road. 'Twas dark so I wasn't sure.

There's a big one at the corner of the AIB on Merrion Road heading South(ish). Been meaning to report that one actually.

The clampers are clamping down (heh) on parking in Ranelagh, particularly on Saturday evenings, but they have been doing this now for months and it doesn't seem to have much deterrent effect. Someone actually printed out a sign once and stuck it on the parking meter to explain the situation as people don't seem to understand the clearway sign and the concept of operational times (last Saturday I saw a clamper pointing to the sign explaining what it meant to an irate clampee.)

the resurfacing is low grade - goes all lumpy in no time .. what would have been a nice spin up the rathgar road goes a tad wobbly in areas round the bus stops ..bet its price work or cowboy contractors..don't know so will stop fibbing now  - will have a look on you tube so for the vid-the pot holes are probably different ones now !!! or bigger

That shocked me too. Came back from a few days away to find a lovely new surface. Pleasantly surprised. It was in some state. You had to use the extreme right of the bus lane and risk upsetting taxi and bus drivers or put up with having your skull rattled about for a while. Your probably right though and the resurfacing is suspect. Maybe they watered down the tarmac to make it go further:D

Orwell Park between Orwell Rd and Dartry Rd can be a bit of a boneshaker when traffic is heavy and youre forced onto the margin where tree roots have erupted onto the road and have broken it up which can be fairly shaky
