    Hi,
I was trying to find if there is already a similar thread here but couldnt see one. Basically I am considering purchasing a second hand home and as the house itself is about 50 years old (approx 75 sq metres, 3 beds) and in need of some modernisation I want to get it surveyed by an architect. Would anyone know a ballpark figure for getting a survey done and how long would such a survey take?

    What type of survey?
A vaulation survey circa €120, was on site and witnessed an Auctioneer carry out a valuation in 3 minutes! ( While my Structural Survey took 3 hours! - 3 bed 4 year old semi)
    Structural Survey circa €400 - €650 approx.

A measured Survey, to prepare existing drawings could take about 2 - 4 hours on site and would start at €500 - 900 plus. Depending on size etc.

Scaled sketch design drawings would be extra and would depend on detail / time etc - if re-modelling existing house.
