I am looking for a good dating web site, I have used anotherfriend and I have found this very poor, what sites have you used?

What's the male perspective on plentyoffish, generally? I'm not finding it too useful (could be summit to do with my photo rating of 3.0:rolleyes:). Anybody know the actual proportion of M to F?

You really have to get serious about your photos. All you want is a clean thumbnail of yourself in decent/good clothing where your face is visible. Nobody is really impressed by the halloween costume you wore last year, or all those beers you drank that one time. Or the one with your shirt off. And it really helps when you dont take the photo yourself, ya loner.

Mine averages a 6.8/10 with the wimmins. My photo before that got a 2.7.

i met my current girlfriend of 5 months on plentyoffish and we living with eachother now give it a try i found it good and made few more really good female friends on it also

They really arent the ones you want to be involved with. I had some 28 yr old woman hitting on little old me last week - in all her photos shes being crazy at some night club. I chose to ignore the mail :rolleyes:

Remember, guys need to keep their guard up as much as women do.

Gave up dating websites after two years. Some serious serial nut jobs on them!
Got into social websites like The Lunch Club or Facebook (Make New Friends application not the dating applications on it): much better to get in touch with a lot of people as there is no dating pressure as such. You can still meet The One in a more "natural" way.
Bah it's still the big lottery, but you don't look as desperate as if you were a member of a dating website.
Getting married next July

pof found me my girlfriend of now 5 months too, really happy. met a few off it before that, all lovely, sound, beautiful girls, just not for me but would never say i met nut jobs but youcould spot them by 1 min of chat/an email! Go for it, what have you got to loose, wayyyyyy more people at it than you think!!

Plentyoffish worked for me, but I also met some weird men too, I think it is just pure luck to be honest, although I didn't like anotherfriend because of the layout and the search facilities were rubbish, a lot of money for very little. At least with plenty of fish it was free.
