Superzoom lens for Canon 40D- Xmass Present

Okay first of all, I know little about cameras but my mother would like a superzoom lens.

Any recommendations?

Please link as much as possible and give reasons.

Any idea you know what lenses she has,as she could have your standard kinda zoom lens and if we don't know we could pick out the same or a simular for you

I think the one she has is just a standard bit of everything, I know its the complete opposite but I think she has just changed her mind to a macro..

She said in a superzoom shes looking for a 2.8/3 70-200 or something like that

Ah ok,she probably has a 17-85 or 18-55...
Another thing is,whats your budget?

it seems the one she wants is the 70-200 f2.8 its a great lens,just be careful where you buy it because you could be done for import tax,have a look at keapohoto.com and kerso on ebay http://stores.ebay.ie/FLASH-CAMERA
