    Hi,

I'm pretty new here, and I'm sorry if anyone has asked this before, but do Music 123 ship to Ireland?

    Thanks!

    Welcome to "boards" ! :)

Here's a link to their shipping policies. Does not mention Europe at all. Maybe you could send them an email with your question.

    Thanks for the response.

Yeah, I saw that, it says that they don't ship international but I've heard in other places that they do.

    Has anyone used Music 123?

they used to ship to ireland, but since the value of the dollar took a bit of a nose-dive, they will now only ship to the states and us p/o's. i found this out when i asked them to ship a musicman bongo 5 string to me. they politely declined. i wouldnt mind, but i would have saved some drastic money towards the prices on thomann/musicstore

Ok, thanks for the help. I'm looking to buy this and it seems the cheapest place I can find is Music123.

Best place to buy gear from right now is the UK. Check out gak.co.uk and soundslive.co.uk

I used the a good few times years back. They no longer ship outside the US. Also, +1 on shopping in the UK.

Ahhhh every time these pricks are mentioned, my mind always goes back to this cautionary tale.

The majority of shop purchases from the US will be hit for import duties, so you should bear in mind that any instrument you buy from outside the EU is going to have another 25.5% or so in taxes added on vs. a purchase made inside the EU (which will have no extra costs or duties - appropriate VAT will normally be included in the price shown).

Very true. They really seem to be cracking down on this. In recent times I have had to pay duty on every (non-instrument-related) package from the US. It used to be quite a lot would get through. Just this morning I had to pay duty on a genuine Christmas gift my cousin sent to my kids (from US.)

I used Music123 a few times in the past and had no problems. But tried buying something from them there recently and you now need an American Credit Card to order, and even then they won't ship outside of the US anyway. :(

Yeah, last I checked, gifts over 44 EUR in value are still subject to duties unfortunately. Stuff only really goes untaxed if the sender misdeclares the value or contents on the customs declaration.
