Time elapsed counter?

Hey all, I'm trying to find a "time elapsed" counter for a blog. Basically I'd want to be able to put in a date in and the counter says how long it has been since then in years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds etc. I've had a search around and can't find anything decent - maybe there's a specific name for this type…

Hey all,

I'm trying to find a "time elapsed" counter for a blog.

Basically I'd want to be able to put in a date in and the counter says how long it has been since then in years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds etc.

I've had a search around and can't find anything decent - maybe there's a specific name for this type of counter that I can't think of!

Does anyone know of a good one? I'd need it to be HTML based so I can just drop it into the side bar and the less space it takes up the better.

if is php you are using look into strtotime function....
