    Hello,

Recently ordered a static IP address from eircom. Currently I have a linksys router connected with a PPPoE connection, anyone got any idea If i have to change any of the settings for the static IP to be used rather then always being assigned a dynamic one?

    Thanks

No, every time your modem does a dhcp request you will be assigned your new static ip address. You don't have to do anything.

Why did you order a static IP? I just use No-IP, its easier and so much cheaper.

I know how to do it with the Netopia router, why don't you use it?
