    Hi,
I am purchasing a gift for my wife , she has had the use of a Canon 350d from a friend at work and has taken some very nice photos with (she was always good at taken a good photo ) , the thing is I have a chance of a CANON 30d from a guy who purchased it and no longer uses it (practically brandnew) , he knows a bit about photography and says the 30D is much superior camera than the 350d .

My wife can use the 350D no problem and knows all menus , settings etc ...would me purchasing the 30d be a mistake , is there anything I should worry about (ie)major diffrences .

    Ta
    M.

I'm not a Canon user, so others might be able to tell you more, but I do know both of the cameras in question are discontinued, I don't know if you would mind that. Hope this helps

If she was happy with the 350D she will be happy with the 30D as it is a superior camera. Even though both cameras are discontinued there are lots of different lens and accessories for these very nice DSLR cameras.

To go from 350D to 30D is like to go from Skoda Fabia to Octavia. They are both good cars, not the newest, but the she will notice the difference at the first sight. And when she begins to use it.

Yeah the 30D is a much better camera than the 350D. Better build quality and more space for all the controls make it an easier camera to use aswell.
