    Hi,

I am interested in possibly switching to a career in medicine (doing the grad entry course). As this would involve a significant financial outlay im currently looking at that side of things and am wondering does anyone know how much doctors currently get as
    - an intern
    - as a junior doctor
    - as a senior doctor

    Thanks for you help,:)

    J.

I understand the cost of college etc but being a doctor is more about loving the type of work they do than getting lots of money. They do earn quite a bit though, just look at the medical jobs section in the Times or Irish Independent on a thursday.
Just sit in any A&E in a Dublin City hospital on a saturday night, what kind of monetary figure would you put on doctor's having to put up with the antics of drunks etc? an infinite amount of money if money were the issue.

I'd hate to be a doctor, having to deal with illness all day long.

There are nicer jobs which pay just as well. Get yourself an MBA instead! :)
