On the net, very shortly after it happens and if you mean anywhere in the world, i'd say somewhere in the US. No reason why, but i just reckon they'd be the ones to be messing around with this kinda thing.

If it's a viral outbreak it'll probably come from one of the more populated poorer countries. They just seem like breeding grounds for virus mutations.

If it does break out somewhere far away we do have a good chance. RTE have been running documentaries on Virus outbreaks and they've been going on about how they've upgraded worldwide response system since SARs. That should slow down the spreed in the early days. RTE are showing these shows because many of the top dogs seem to be Irish.

Or here for super robot zombies.

Probably on the internet. The government will keep the media quiet mostly, but with the internet being open and with people having such access to it, it will probably be the first place to receive info. That or when I have my reanimated neighbors knocking on my door.

I have to disagree, the internet being as accessable as you say will be its downfall. Far to many people posting there story or there chinese whispered hear say to find any real truth. It'd be seen as a hoax or a fad like rick rolling (which is genious! btw) I think it'll only be believed when it is seen and i mean physicaly seen not streamed or downloaded were you can wach it safely wondering is it real or not, only when your neighbours are scratchin at your back door moaning constantly keeping you from focusing, from thinking straight or from getting any sleep after weeks of deprivation and dehydration will you know its real.

So there :P

Heh, true. I'm not gonna believe most of the stuff, as even recently people post fake zombie stuff. Theres just a few communities and stuff I'd trust. But most likely people wont know/accept it until its chewing on your flesh.

And that's the reason it's going to be the Zombie Apocalypse.

Human nature being what it is will have most people denying anything is actually wrong until it's too late.

The important thing is that the right people (government, army etc.) don't deny it's happening (to themselves!).

I very much doubt that. It would be treated like any other outbreak and we actually have international systems set up to deal with flu outbreaks. I'd say the world would find out about it fairly quickly. The media would only love a story like this.

I don't think our Flu systems could deal with a zombie outbreak but it would certainly slow it's spread down allot. That should give contrys on the other side of the planet time to prepare.

For our sake it would be ideal if the outbreak was in south America. It seems that these kind of viruses always come out of overpopulated 3rd world country's so I reckon it's somewhere in Asia, Africa or south America for the outbreak.

I'm mainly judging it on any zombie literature or the like. There's no way to know exactly how people would respond. In books the main reason for government keeping it quiet is they think they can quarantine it before it becomes a problem or they don't want a wide-spread panic.

or that they invented the virus to begin with; as a bio-weapon.

there's just as much chance of that as there is the virus evolving in nature.
