    Hi,

Im 20 going on 21 in 4 months and I've got as much hair as I have always remember but my dad and uncles said they started loosing their hair around 22-23 and all the men in my family (both side) are either very bald or their hairline has receded. I want to prevent this from happening by tackling it before it does happen, what steps should I take? i have my hair styled , don't wear tight hats or have it pulled back tightly..

    thanks

Because you're quite young it'll be fairly aggressive hair loss I'm afraid if it will, I'm just going to copy over some content I put on a previous thread a few months back. You can slow it down and cosmetically disguise it for a while though:

Get onto Kirkland Minoxidil 5% twice a day and 1/5 of a Fincar (the same dosage as Propecia) tablet daily. The Kirkland is for re-growing hair and the Fincar is finasteride, normally used for looking after your prostate but the quaities of it will slow down the process.

Fincar, or Proscar (same product really) are tablets of 5mg Finasteride. Propecia comes in 1mg but is much more expensive. So basically buy a pack of 24 or more and a pill cutter, then split the pills into 5 pieces. The side effects are losing dinkle hardness and manboobs though! HOWEVER if you notice these symptons get off it and they'll disappear, plus a very small number experience them.

Kirkland is cheap Rogaine basically, you put it on in the morning and during the night, it smells and is messy but it works pretty alright actually. Finally if you want to use it Toppik is for covering any bald spot, lol hair in a can. Here's links for each. By the way these are the cheapest options for each problem and the sites can be trusted. All the best

However if you're experiencing NO thinning at all I'd say you'll be fine

Inhouse pharmacy don't ship to Ireland because of customs restrictions so you're wasting your time.

Customs & The Irish Medical Board have really gotten strict on buying medicines online.

9 times out of 10 your package will be stopped and you'll receive a warning letter from Irish Medical Board. And you lose the $$ you paid.
