Lost I-94

I was in college in the states for a year on a M visa. I left in June of 2007. When I was leaving there was a major mix up with flights i.e delays, transfers...more delays etc.. Eventually i got onto a flight and didn't have time to give back my I-94 card ( i think thats what it was called). There wasn't anyone collecting them at the gate either. Since i've come home i've tried calling the embassy to sort it out but have been put on hold because all their customer service guys are busy etc.. and have had to hang up because it was too expensive. One of the calls actually cost me €70! I've also gone down to Ballsbridge and the guys at the screen told me to call the number etc.. etc..
Anyone know what I can do?
    Cheers,
    Dan

my I-94w wasn't taken from my passport on leaving JFK last year. i only noticed a couple of months after that it was still there. there's an address on the US embassys website for the immigration service in kentucky that you can send it back to. i sent it back enclosing copies of bank statements and payslips from work to show i was back in the country inside the 90 days allowed. they'll then update your record to show you returned home.

been back twice since and no problems:cool:
