Chain

I was looking into chain specifications recently in order to broaden my knowledge in this matter and I got bit confused:

    There are three sizes:
    1/8"
    3/32"
11/128" - this one is used for 9 speed
and that's suppose to be the distance between inside rolers where sprocket teeth fit in.

But what is the size of 10 or 11 speed chains ?

Found in campagnolo catalogue new 11 speed chain is 5.5mm wide. Is that the same width we are talking about just given in mm ?

I know there is outer side plates mesurement that is given in mm. And depending on number of sprockets in casette chain got different widht and 7 speed chain could be used with 8speed casette. But I'm not sure if I dig that right way..
