    hi,

i've been charged for €22 by ebay for an item that i sold but the buyer rejected and then I cancelled the transaction but they still charged me the €22 on my Credit Card.

I'Ve emailed them 3 times through their site and they don't reply. Customer service is appaling.

question, in order to avoid this happening again, can i set it up that i personally have to "approve"all charges and that my card does not automatically get hit for the monthly invoice and I pay then manually?

    thanks in advance.

    NIF

You give authorisation to charge your card when you gave your details over to eBay. If you revoke this permission, by removing your details, they won't allow you to sell anything.

The final value fee should have been credited back to you when the buyer pulled out of the sale. Did you file a non-paying bidder complaint with eBay? If you didn't, you won't get your credit. I'm not sure how this credit works either, whether it's returned to your card, or just remains as usable credit with eBay.

You will still have to pay the listing fee, as you did list the item, regardless of whether it sells or not.

If you still have problems, you can ask your bank to reverse the charge. Make sure you get it right though, and don't reverse amounts that you do actually owe.

    Hi Jor el,

Thanks for the thoughts on this. I did'nt file a non-paying bidder complaint, I just cancelled the sale.
Maybe i should have done that.
    Can i still do it?
I have requested a charge back with my Credit card co and they are procession that.

    what do ya think?
