Hi OP.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Several of the societies (connemara pony society, RID society) would be able to give you dates and locations of their fairs.

Ballinasloe horse fair is on first week of October ever year biggest in ireland by
far and in europe i think.

Not sure I'd call the Borris Fair a horse fair. There are some horses at it alright but not like at other fairs.

Get a copy of 'Old Moores Almanac' for 2009 and every fair date will be listed in it. I think this question was asked before on here. Newsagents in country areas would have that book for the Christmas.

Old Moore's Almanac has the dates of every fair and sales in the country and is on sale now, a few other helpful bits in it too, plus predictions for everything in the coming year!

i bought it last week get it every year, joyces in clifden sell it, i think easons might do it, but you may have to order it
