Anyone going to any good gigs abroad soon? I just got tickets to the Cribs in Glasgow which will be mental, I can't wait.
I presume loads of people will be trying to get Blur Hyde Park tickets.

Going to see AC/DC in London, that should be class(O2 Arena, not the newly announced Wembley Stadium show announced this morning)

Am tempted to get a ticket for Blur on the first date at Hyde PArk, but might wait around and see what else is announced.

When Eagles of Death Metal play, I might take another trip across and have a look, meet up with some friends.

And then maybe Rock Am Ring, I'm just waiting for first bands to be announced before buying a ticket. Pretty much just waiting for Dream Theater to be announced in all honesty.

I went to see Muse in Helsinki on the first date of the Absolution tour, but to be honest their 2004 show here was way better. Saw Tool at Sziget too. I think those are the only 2 gigs I've seen abroad

Since moving to Ireland, I've been to see Rage Against The Machine, Muse and JJ72 in London and Bruce in NJ.

I am waiting to see who plays the various festivals before deciding on what to do.

Oasis are doing some, but that's kinda general knowledge by now.

Think its Dream Theater for Rock Am Ring, so there is worth in the full camping ticket alone in that for me. Nine Inch Nails might be around too hopefully. Blur would be cool, Eagles of Death Metal will be around the circuit.

EDIT: Some odd rumour bout Pearl Jam doing Rock Am ring too. I highly doubt it, but would be absolutely amazing if they did.

    The Killers
    The Kooks
    The Subways
    Tomte
    Trivium
    Volbeat

    all confirmed.

Wording on the website it says that The Killers, Placebo and Slipknot are headlining, thought it doesnt say if thats the main stage or the alternative etc.

Just came here to discuss this. Woohoo, not 1 decent headliner. Shall have to delay in purchasing a ticket, but at least it shows some names.

anyone been to wembley recently? I haven't been to it since it was done up, and my friends over haven't given it fantastic reviews, however, I was thinking of getting tickets for a gig ther and was wondering what anyone else thought?

I usually go to 3 or 4 gigs abroad every year. This year I saw Nightwish in Birmingham, Within Temptation twice in the Netherlands and Epica in France. Next year I'm going to Nightwish in France, UK and Helsinki. Thats all thats confirmed so far, but I'm sure there'll be more. I prefer going to gigs outside of the UK and Ireland as the crowds are nicer.

I love them, saw the ambassador show and it was annoying cause there wasn't a big turnout which helped it lack atmosphere. Then there was this guy around us with a major case of BO, every time we saw him coming we were wretching.
To see them in a small, packed venue is the way to go. ABC in Glasgow will be great and with Johnny Marr playing with them it adds to the experience.
