I saw the last half hour of this documentary last night. Riveting viewing.

I'm kinda surprised that he made this documentary. I always thought of him as a very private person.

He talked at length about his problems with depression and drink.

It showed really personal intimate, lovely home videos of himself and Ellen Barkin.

    Did anybody else see this?

It was quiet depressing but I think it was very self indulgent.

TBF that could be alot down to the editing of the show. I always like him as an actor and it really makes me laugh how more often then not he doen't even try to loose his irish accent.

Yeah but he's not dumb. This was BCI funded, it was never going to be "isn't he lovely" and he would have known that from the start. You don't supply a documentary maker with endless exclusive footage of your most intimate moments and expect it to be a comedy hour that shows you in the best light possible.

It was self indulgent "wow is me" crap. He's not even that celebrated an actor.

I actually really enjoyed it. I think he was very honest and it was nice to see another side to him.
