Hi all. Fixed puncture on m back wheel yesterday. Now the rear gears are slipping pretty badly. Any suggestions on what may be causing this. The bike is fairly new and the gears/chain are not worn???

Cables stretch on all new bikes. You probably just need to tighten up the rear gear cable with the barrell adjuster on the rear derailleur a little.

If all you did was take the wheel off and replace it again then there should be no major adjustment required. This has happened to me before after fixing a puncture and it has always been the case that the rear derailleur is in the incorrect position. Usually it is too far back towards the rear of the bike as you probably pulled it back to remove the wheel. Try pushing it forward more in under the cassette if that makes sense. If everything was working fine before you replaced the wheel then i would not go down the road of adjusting gears just yet...

Removing and replacing a wheel should have no effect on the gears at all, are you sure you put the wheel back in right?
