    How do I go about getting them done? Do I have to go through a GP or can I just show up at the clinic in the Mater?

    you will need to go to your gp. they will discuss with you what bloods are needed, and most gp's will do bloods at their surgeries.
    you cant turn up at a hospital blood clinic without a form signed by a doctor, stating what tests are required.
