I've just cancelled my order, blurays are fine but I dont need these in dvd format again... lol.
Would have been nice of them to email us to tell us they had made a mistake on the format though... wouldnt have been too happy if a DVD set arrived.

That wouldn't make any sense, as the X-Men 1,2,3 DVD boxset has been out since last year and costs only £7.99:

The world seems to know: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=75355

Also this post: I am on hold at the moment with HMV's Customer service department who are going to tell me exactly what this product is...

    And the answer is...

That is infact the Pre-Order price for ALL 3 Movies !! As soon as it comes out the price will go up !!

According to the forum above, it seems it's actually Dvd, not Blu-ray. Says Dvd on my a/c page too.

    I've cancelled my order.

    Thx anyway, OP.

If it says Blu-ray in your order e-mail, definitely stick with it with closer to the release date.

They'd be required to notify you if the product changed.

But here is the question, why have pre-orders for a DVD boxset that has already been out for the last two years and is £2 cheaper?

I changed my mind after having read the forum post http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=1396874&postcount=34 , their own customer service says it's dvd only.

Anyway, i'm not pushed. It was an impluse buy, anyway.

payment for the goods you have ordered. HMV have not yet taken payment for the goods listed above, nor taken the final step of confirming the shipment
of your order to you by email (please see point b. in the section entitled
‘The Contract Between US’ on the first page of our Terms and Conditions.
We are therefore under no legal obligation to sell the item to you.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this error. We don’t like having
to take this course of action, and apologise that we have had to do so in
    this instance.

If you would still like to order the item on DVD format, you may do so via
    the HMV web site.

    So I reckon that's that.
