    Eating for one tonite as OH is out so looking for some ideas :rolleyes:

    How about sweet and sour... to make enough sauce for one person you need roughly these amounts;

    20-30ml white wine vinegar (depending how sharp you want it)
    40ml or more of pineapple juice or water
    A fair bit of ketchup (or tomato puree), I usually add it into the same container that has the first two ingredients, and it comes up to about 2/3rds the volume
    50g or so of brown sugar, depending on vinegar
    Soy sauce optional

    Then if you want to thicken it up, just mix a spoon or more of cornflour in some cold water, and after the sauce has boiled stir it in. I usually stir fry some chicken, throw in some vegetables and serve it with noodles/rice.
