The 405 looks way better as well and less like a laptop on your arm. The accuracy of the 405 is supposed to be a lot better too, although I have heard of problems with the altitude change numbers that it comes up with.

As soon as I find a way to break my Polar 625x I'll be getting a 405 as the replacement.

Here is the Garmin comparison page:
    https://buy.garmin.com/shop/compare.do?cID=142&compareProduct=11039&compareProduct=349&compareProduct=348

The 205 does not have HRM though, 305 does, and some of the 405 bundles do.

Waste of time! get yourself a watch and just lace up the runners and get out there! nike ipod if you get really that bored but altitude readings....huh?!

And not to mention the cost...unless your using it on adventure trails or mountain treks, then complete waste of time.

Do a search on the Marathon/Triathlon forum and you'll get a lot of constructive feedback. I certainly wouldn't buy one for adventure trails or mountain treks as they don't really do navigation (in any useful way). Forerunner also has feic all to do with elevation. Pace, distance, heart rate, training plans, intervals, etc. are where it comes into it's own.
