Correction, wish I had a job.

Got laid off 2 weeks ago,

Sitting about watching a documentary about Vesuvius on Discovery because NTL cut me off last week. Back to basic 15.

Eating bagels that expired on the 2nd with cheese that is god knows how old. Is ok though they were vacum packed. Right?

    Well they taste ok anyway.

As such, weekend plans are nil.

And just to save you the bother...

Fear not Friend-Foe. Unemployment is not the end. It is merely the beginning of increased bodily decomposition.

Set yourself goals to achieve every day, but make each day's goal more creative than the one before. Blog it all on your own website then sell your "amazing" story to a publishing house.

They publish creepy books bout people being abused*, so they'de prob publish yours too.

*that's not a suggestion to go abusing people yourself btw

Get up off your arse and steal for your drug money. It's like you need lessons in scumbaggery.

Australia for a year it is what the weaker of the species are doing nowadays I beleive. Got help us I tell you this recession is terrible yummy mummies going to Lidl and having to Drive a SUV with a 2007 plater or older, soon we will be eating grass I tells you. Best thing that ever happened to this generation they now see the good times can end and do end with a bang. As a kid I had two tv channels and the family car was rusty and needed to be hillstarted in Winter. Plus it was cold at night and you could see your breath condense.

If your unemployed you really should be on the scratcher. Especially if youve been working for the last year or so as you'll have the credits built up. The longer you leave it the more suspicious they'll get when/ if you do have to apply.

Yeah, still no P45 or anything. I'll probably get around to it soon, but i'm always hoping something will come up first.

Yea get on the scratcher, that's what it's there for. If you leave it for a certain amount of time they will be asking how you lived so long without a job, as if it's some kind of miracle. You paid your taxes, now it's time to get just a little back. And don't be thinking you will get a job in the first or second week of january, you probably wont. Go to the Work and Jobs forum and see what they are saying, it doesn't look too good according to them.

Someone like you should have no qualms about going on 'the scratcher' as you are the type of person who it is indended to benefit, i.e. those that want to work but can't. It's not as if you threw in your job to sit at home watching Discovery

Back when i was unemployed I used to try and plan out what to do each day to help stop the boredom.
This would have been a typical day for me.

Drag myself out of bed about 10am to watch Caroline in the City on paramount.. I thought her and Richard would never get together!. Then play championship manager all day.

Looking back they were the most depressing days of my life but i did win the european cup a fair few times :)

You'll get a job soon enough don;t worry about it

Tell me about it. I'm not enjoying this one bit.

I hate being idle, the days go so slowly.

And when unemployed I always find myslef falling in this vampire like antisocial sleeping pattern of staying up until stupid hours doing nothing because I can't sleep. You need a good days work to tire you out properly, forgeting what day it is because they're all the same.

The monotony is deafining, so getting a job is proirity number one.

True, I remember that... The endless oversleeping and repeats of Bargain Hunt.. Yikes
