Heard Kenny on the radio today, something about the pork, and he comes out with this "housewifes statement"

Is this ok.. or does this belong in the 1950's..... in Mayo

Saying that it's not the most archaic thing I've ever heard from a politician, and I don't think he said it with any malice.

I would imagine that the majority of shopping is done by wives. Its just the nature of our society. I don't see the need to enter some type of 'Peoples Front of Judea' style dialogue every time we make a statement. Calm down.

Im wracking my brains trying to think of any household I know where there is a woman that stays at home in the old style doing the shopping, cooking and cleaning etc.....housewife.....nope cannot think of one...both wife and husband HAVE to work these days......

I cannot think of one person at all.......Im thinking they went extinct without us even noticing!

You just know, due to his cushy TDs salary & expenses, his wife doesn't have to work - unlike the vast majority of married couples in the state.

I dont find it offensive nor do i think many would... its just a silly thing to say given that its simply not true anymore. I dont theres many housewives left to take offense!

The only thing with it is, he wants to run the country. A mistake like that is a pretty big one if he actually believes it.
