    Hi, sorry if I got in the wrong place, please just move it.

    I am waiting for a packet. I check it in an post track & trace, and here's what I've got:
    ========
    Current Status
    ITEM IN DEPOT 10-Dec-08 RETURN TO SENDER

    Item History
    Activity Location Date Reason
    ITEM IN DEPOT KILBARRACK D.S.U. DUBLIN 5 10-Dec-08
    RETURN TO SENDER

    ITEM IN DEPOT KILBARRACK D.S.U. DUBLIN 5 10-Dec-08
    NO ANSWER AT ADDRESS

    ON ROUTE TO CUSTOMER KILBARRACK D.S.U. DUBLIN 5 10-Dec-08
    ON ROUTE TO CUSTOMER

    PORTLAOISE MAIL CENTRE CO LAOISE 09-Dec-08

    ITEM RECEIVED PORTLAOISE OVR CO LAOIS 09-Dec-08
    ========

    I am confused since there's no delivery notice for me. (We got a delivery notice today, but it's not for me; and I check the number, it's definitely my friend's). It is a bit weird, because it's not my local post office, whenever I get the parcel, usually it went to my local PO. How come they return it to sender, because only today they attempt to deliver? And how can I get the parcel now I don't have any delivery notice?

    What should I do, anyone have this kind of situation before?

    Thanks before...

    The link gives you the number for Baldoyle post office, which is not the sorting office.
    Sorting office number is 01-8393717

    Dont panic just yet, it was only attempted delivery today, they have to wait at least 3 days before returning it if registered post, after that have to return it to the person who sent it, if there’s a legible address on the outside.

    Thank you davton, it seems that the track and trace info was wrong. I sent an email to the customer service and they said my packet is in my local post office. And yes, I got itt there, without delivery notice.

    Find out your nearest post office sorting office (not always your nearest post office), and give them a ring first thing Monday morning. They'll usually still have it for a couple of days after trying to deliver (even with a return to sender status). Ring on Monday to ask them to hold it for collection. If you don't know your local sorting office, and can't ask neighbours, etc., ring An Post customer services

    Yes, you should have received a notice of attempted delivery; I don't know why that didn't happen.

    parcels come through a different network and don't always go to your post office. The parcel office for north is kilbarrack and for south meerywell

    Hasnt the Northside parcel office now moved to Baldoyle since they moved to the new premises?

    Its in the industrial estate off the kilbarrack road. The entrance to the estate is beside denis mahonys garage. The parcel depot is the second right, at the back of the gaa club
