So have you ever been hypnotized? Have you been in an audience and watched people be hypnotized? Do you think its possible? Do you think its a load of bollix? Would you volunteer to be hypnotized? If you could hypnotized people would you use it to entertain mates or to get free stuff (including sexy time).

I am pretty certain it's possible and can be used for lots of stuff, giving up smoking, getting secks, improving confidence etcetera.
Had it done on me but didn't work. Apparently it doesn't work on everyone.

About 3 or 4 of my friends got hypnotized at a show in a bar during our leaving cert holiday. It seemed to work. One even still has nightmares about seeing the devil (when he was hypnotized he was hypnotized into thinking the devil was standing in front of them all and was choosing who to bring to the underworld with him).


Apparently you need to be creative and have a good imagination for it to work on you, which is understandable.

Friend of a friend (yes, a friend!) had it done to her on stage during Freshers last year. Yer man asks her to imagine she's kissing Brad Pitt and she just goes ''Ugh NO! I like girls!'' She hadn't told anyone this yet! Eep.

Saw it done a couple of times, I'm still undecided but I'm leaning to the load of crap option. The second time I saw it the people on stage we definitely just playing along.

I've seen it done!

I've seen quite a few.There was a well known hypnotist at a work Christmas party I was at once.Some of the people who were hypnotised said he actually tells you what to say. Like he asked one of the girls 'what colour were her knickers' and she said she'd none on. She took me into one of the toilets and pulled her skirt up to show that she had. She was horrified at what she'd said but said he told her to say it and she just did. I saw him performing a few times and thought it was odd that his 'victim's all said similar things to those in his other shows. I saw another in Spain this year. He did spend a lot of time talking to them 'to each and every one of you on the stage tonight, you will hear nothing except my voice etc'. I nearly fell asleep! Sounded professional but the people didn't seem genuine. All over reactors.

Have you ever been watching TV and someone is talking to you but you don't realise / hear them until they say your name? If the answer is yes then you have been hypnotised. When the person says your name it snaps you out of it.

I seen it done in UL once. He told everybody to imagine their hands were glued together.
It worked on some people, one was a friend of mine, was sitting beside me when it happened.

Of course some people went down pretending for a while, but he cut down the 20 to around 8. Was hilarious, all in good taste.

Afterwards my friend said that he cant remember any of it, and he felt really good inside. Its all the power of suggestion methinks.
