Was thinking about gatting a new computer, would the xps one (515euro) be a good buy??
I'd mainly use it for itunes, and surfing the net, and excel.

Yeah it looks pretty decent for that. Integrated graphics though so wont be great for games. Built in wireless card and includes works 8.5 so perfect for itunes, internet access and excel.

Shame they're not more configurable. Would be nice to be able to select a 24" screen and maybe some more Ram to run vista. Still tempting for a nice little package that won't take up much room

The other two have a 256MB ATI® Mobility Radeon® HD 2400 - would that be alright for the latest games like Halo 2 for PC (and all the other new games I can't play on my laptop?). Is the 2gb of memory enough? There don't seem to be any options to increase this, somaybe that's why they are selling them?

I was kinda hoping to get a v good laptop - more flexible, but at this price...

For playing any games I'd look at something else. I built a powerful gaming pc a few months ago with parts from hardwareversand.de and it came to about €700. Granted I already had a monitor but for games there are much better options out there. I'd expect game performance on any of the XPS One machines to be pretty poor

I wouldn't touch an XPS One with a barge pole tbph, even at 50% off. You can get better spec on laptops or desktops for much less than €500. All you're paying for is the all-in-one aspect = waste of money.

Performace, to answer above question, would be woeful.

+1. If you want a games machine build it yourself.

I'm guessing they're clearing out the XPS one to make way for a newer model
but to be honest, I'm not interested unless it comes with, or I can easily install XP

Yeah. On closer inspection, they are not worth near 999. But if you looking for a desktop PC that can be used as a TV too, it looks to be good value. The problem is upgrading hardware in a few years which may not possible.

    Looks nice though.

Wonder if the 10% will work with the already 50% off on the XPS Ones?

Could bring the higher speced one to ~€599, if anyone is interested.

Many Thanks, just ordered the higher specified model, came to e650, used the EPS got 3% discount. For what I need it for (itunes, web, downloading, small footprint)I think it represents great value,a good quality screen with a dell hybrid would come to a lot more.

FYI, the 10% virtual voucher works with the XPS One models (which already have 50% off) , AND the EPP also works.

So the base XPS One model is €455 after all vouchers and deals.

Voodoo - how do you claim a virtual voucher ? Does it just come up when you go to pay or do you have to do something ?

    Thanks,
