Heat Recycle units.

    Heya,

I am currently renting a house which has a heat recycling unit fitted, its basically a system that takes in air, strips the energy from it and puts it into the radiators and hot water.

Does anyone have any experience with these things?
Its a Nibe 640P and not only does it freeze up (literally) all the time, it is using anywhere between 60 and 100 units of electricity a day (€12-€18).
Its supposedly being sorted out by the builders and the suppliers, but is this a regular problem with these?
Its supposed to save hundreds of euro a year, yet it will cost in 2 months more than it cost me in a years worth of oil in the last place.

I love the idea of these systems, but I honestly would never recommend one. Surely people have heard good things about them no?

Its a form of heatpump you have.

And like alot of heatpumps, its more than likely the specing of the unit that was done incorrectly.

Nibe are a good brand. They make a deent product.
