Sorry if this is a basic and silly question, but as you may have seen in my other thread I am picking up a second hand Xbox 360 this weekend.

Now Im pretty broke with xmas and all so dont know when Ill be getting on Xbox Live, but my question is two part.

    1. Since it was owned by someone before me do I need to delete his profile and start a new one before I go on Live or can I just keep his but change the name?

    2. I know there is this whole gaming points thing but how does it work and can I take his ones if he has any?

    Cheers.

Technically yeah you should delete this profile to comply with the Live ToS.
Selling a system with activated Live account is a very stupid thing to do since it maybe link to the last persons Credit Card.

If you are a Troll, you could msg all this friends and cause hell for him or if your not then create your own.

Also you have multiple Live and/or Offline accounts on the same system.

The gaming points are received from completing set tasks in the games.
