    Hey,

I ordered two items from a seller on ebay about 3 weeks ago.
I had already purchased the same item from another seller and wanted 2 more for presents.
So, 17 days after I pay for it it gets shipped. I had emailed 3 or 4 times with no reply.
2 days after that it arrives and the items are basically either a cheapo imitation or a crappy version of what I ordered.
The auction was for "deluxe golf bag covers" and two "standard" golf bag covers were shipped. I did some searching and the standard ones are about half the price of the deluxe ones.
So I contact him and again no response.
    Open a dispute, no response
Escalate to a claim and now I have to pay to ship the back, registered?
Seems like a crock of **** to me. I get stung for shipping because of this fraudster?

You can send it back normal delivery, but you'll be relying on the seller to confirm receipt. Since the seller has already proven how much he's worth, I don't think you'd like to take this risk.

Paying for returns is something that all eBay sellers expect you to do. Other online retailers, outside eBay, also expect you to do the same, it rare enough to find anyone that will pay the return costs.

True enough but if, for example, I ordered a kitchen from B&Q and the send me a bathroom, I dont expect to pay to send it back.
I have confirmed with another buyer that this seller has done the same thing in the past. Is there a way to report a seller for activities like this?
Some way to warn other users? He has re-listed another 99 of these covers, still with false pictures, name and descriptions.

/edit found the "Report This Item" link and advising the other buyers to do the same.

You can also report the seller for non-performance. It takes about 6 years of searching through eBay's maze of useless help info before you find that link though, so here it is. In itself, it would make a blind bit of difference, but if others also report the seller for the same behavior, there might be sanctions.
