Best Gaming Laptop SUB 17"/1000 Euro?

    Ive been looking for months now for some kind of a half decent ,keenly priced laptop 15.4inch screen or smaller with a graphics card that would play games.Obviously I would expect the quality of the games to increase exponentially with price... (17s just seem tooooo big...like a desktop replcement'-and Ive got a great E8500/4870 pc.I need a certain amount of portability anyway -would use it at work as well as for light/medium gaming)
    It seemed to me that the Acer 5930G was in a class of its own at 800 to900 euro but it seems to be largely gone from the shops.Pity we got the version with the basic 2.0GHz CPU .Germany got a 2.4 version ...oh and its pig ugly next to an XPS but thats another matter .Can anyone suggest a laptop for me (or if you hae one for sale pm me !)?Thanks!

    There are plenty of 15" laptops available with 9600M for €1000 or less. Just use the 9600M as the search term in whatever online stores you are happy to buy from.

    Asus make a 15" G50V with the 9700M GS, i've seen it for €1100 on laptopsdirect, so if you shopped around further you might be lucky and find one within your budget. Pretty weird screen res though.
