I've been told that HK Audio are a great PA for DJ use and for bands!

Anyone ever come across them or have or used them?

    see them here!

    Love to hear opinions please

    And thanks in advance :D

Ah that i am aware of, but as this forum is visited by bands who use PA's alot and that I thought that in music production would be studio based! Sorry :( if i'm in the wrong place)

I'm looking to buy soon so need some feed back!

    Thanks for your reply Savman!

I've owned a few HK rigs, always did the job and sounded well at a reasonably ok price. Good bang for buck.

Just spoke to a mate of mine and he reckons that HK wont do it for a DJ but its fine for a band!

He reckons i look at JBL or DAS!

    2 cents please!

Yeesh. I'd love to know what that means.

I'm a JBL user myself and I'd recommend staying away from any of their entry level systems (namely JRX and EON). All other stuff is decent though.

DAS - not one I'd recommend because I associate it with Maplins but as I've never used it in anger I won't offer an uneducated view on it's quality. Safe to say, I don't think I'd buy one personally.

If you run any PA into constant clipping, you will blow sh*t up. Sounds like your 'mate' didn't have enough rig for the gig.

I play in band and we use a HK Actor series p.a. probably a bit big for a dj but they have loads of different size p.a's, excellent sound quality
