Missing an exam ??

Hey all First year panic I have an exam coming up worth a small percent of the final mark...Um I have to miss it for a certain reason ( I don't really want to discuss it with my tutor )..will I get into trouble for not attending the exam ?? Will I not be allowed to continue the course ?? ANY ADVICE

I've studied so hard for this exam and I'm fustrated that I'll loose that small percent :mad: But it really can't be helped.. health comes first...Anyone?????? I could really use some advice...

If you get a medical cert I think it's okay if you miss it...

I thought this too. Email your tutor and ask him/her about it. I know someone that got an exemption from one exam for a minor thing, so it doesn't seem like they're really strict or anything.

Yeah, either way you'll have to get in contact with your tutor. If you don't want to go into detail then tell them that, and ask what you need to do to not lose that percent.

Have sense, discuss it (even in vague terms as in "I have a medical thing i'd rather not go into detail about, what do I need to sort this out."), get a med cert, and it'll all be fine. You're not the first to have to miss something like this, you won't be the last.

...but do contact your tutor ASAP. If you don't hear back soon you should get in contact with the Senior Tutor's Office who will advise you as to what you should do.

Thanks all I have really bad anemia..I have made contact with my tutor...She could not have been nicer about it And I can make up for the 10% at the end of the year

You're JF medicine, right? They go up in the windows outside the anatomy/physiology/biochemistry buildings respectively. Don't expect physiology or biochem till some time in January, but anatomy might appear before that.
