Cluz are out to play, impressed with them so far.

Wouldn't be suprised if Cluz held them or managed to sneak a win.

The lacklustre Chelsea turned up tonight

They really are either brilliant or rubbish. No inbetween

    and now he scores.

That's a disgrace. Ballack; complete dive, wasn't touched, and they score from the free.

not too sure have to check but stupid bookings to be picking up - from what i can see terry is one yellow away from been suspended

Hmm not the best performance. Deco and Ballack gave away a lot of ball. Drogba made a huge difference. Some of his play was quality. Would like to Drogba and Anelka to start up front.

And was that Pizzaro scorring against Inter again? And here we are struggling for options up front.

    yup.. typical!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,571 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

    I wouldn't say you's are struggling tbf.
Scolari tends to only go with one out and out front man and you have two of the best in the league.
And Di Santo is back soon isn't he?
Although yeah, you probably could have done with holding onto him..

Ehhhhh. What. Our goal difference is +29. Anelka is top scorer. Struggling my ass

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 438 ✭✭podge79

its more the lack of experienced cover... we should have kept him imo

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,478 ✭✭✭Bubs101

No international striker wants to stay as a third choice striker in a one striker system. Sahar and Di Santo are the best options because they'll be happy to be 3rd choice and won't be complaining all the time

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 264 ✭✭selpher

By struggling I mean our lack of options when things aren't going our way. Tonight was probably the first time we had a plan B. . Would have been happy to see Pizzaro coming on in the Arsenal or Newcastle games.
So far Big Phil doesn't seem impressed with any of our youth players.

Pizzaro wanted to leave. Any player of his calibre playing third fiddle will just complain all the time and get minimal game time. More likely to wreck moral than make an impact on the pitch

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 4,726 Mod ✭✭✭✭Gonzovision

Orlando Sa is looking like a possibility.

I just hope Kalou starts having the season we all hoped he would.

Well he wasn't sold, he is only on load at Werder and is doing quite well. 13 games, 10 goals. Again I felt he fell into the trap Sheva did. Chelsea when they had him played very much around Drogba and when Drogba wasn't about they still tried to play the very same way into any other striker. Its only this year thats changed and low and behold look at Anelka!!!

Last season remind me how many did Nik score for the blues? 2.
This year how many has he scored now that we have totally changed our way of playing? 15.

As with Nik, Pizzaro, Sheva up to last year the team played high balls into the head / chest as if it was Drogba playing. Those players suffered big time because of it.
