A CDWOW question

I orderd a DVD off them (24 Redemption 2 disc edition BTW) last Wed and they still haven't dispatched it. I sent them a mail and they quoted supply problems. I bought with paypal (and they have already charged me which is amazing-I thought it was common policy not to charge until shipped). How do I get a refund if I am on a basic Paypal account and so can't receieve payments?

(Im also peeved they are having a 2e off everything sale at the moment)

A problem with Cdwow I find is you have no idea of when you will get what you order. Even if they have no stock of an item they still sell it to you and take your cash.Before you order they give no indication of availability. I ordered a few things as Christmas presents early this week but no dispatch notification yet. If I dont get anything from them this weekend Ill just cancel my order. In fairness to them refunds have never been a problem for me from Cdwow although I use a credit card to purchase.

Paypal payments always go through immediately, it's not like using a credit card where the retailer can charge the card at dispatch. As soon as you make a payment, the money transfers. Having a basic account doesn't effect a reversal of the transaction as you won't be receiving money, they'll just refund the payment, which is not the same thing.

Gave up on cdwow due to constant slow service, everything seems to be out of stock and as someone said they still sell it to you. Average 3 weeks to get something delivered from them

They refunded my Paypal. Does that mean I now have to spend that money somewhere that takes paypal or can I get the cash put back on my credit card?

Cdwow must do a refund payment on their side, if the money used to pay was already in your paypal account the money will go to the paypal account, if the money came from your credit card the money will go back to your credit card.
