Hi!

Has anyone swapped out a drive from an external hard drive?

The drive I have is almost full and instead of buying a new external drive, how about changing the drive.

Provided that they are the same size and interface, you shouldn't have much bother.

Why would you do this No good reason to discard 500GB of storage space. For all the money youd spend doing that, just get a new one to supplement your old one.
