Ebay refund

    Hi all,
    I bought tickets on ebay for a Prince concert last May, but this was subsequently cancelled. I contacted the seller and he promised to refund me when ticketmaster had refunded him. He also asked me to send him a Paypal money request which I did. I have contacted him on a regular basis since then, and he still claims that he hasnt received a refund, which I assume is untrue. He has since unregistered his ebay account. Last week he cancelled my Paypal payment request but I issued a new one. The only contact I have for him is his email address.

    Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do to get my money back, how I could find out who he is, or how I could get even with him!

    Well you should not have left it this long, as far as I can remember you can only open a PayPal dispute on a transaction less than 90 days old.
    Contact PayPal anyway, fill them in on all the details and give them the transaction ID number. A copy of all correspondence between you and the seller would also help.
    If he is a fraud, it's only a matter of time before he deletes his email address and closes his payPal account.

    Thanks for this reply - I'll try this. I know I probably should have chased him up before now but he kept replying to me saying that he never received the refund from ticketmaster and that he would pay me back when he got it. I'm too trusting for my own good!
