I have a fresh water tropical fish tank with plants.A lot of leaves go brown now and again so I have increased the amount of time the aquarium lights are on in case that's the problem.Any ideas to what might be causing so many leaves to go brown.

Though I am not a plant specialist, it could be caused by a variety of issues.
Not enough light or not enough nitrate would probably be the main ones. Maybe you can try some aquarium plant fertiliser.
Some people inject CO2 in their tanks in order to help the plants grow.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi cbond,
I don't know where you are situated but a new petmania opened in Drogheda last week and they have a coulple of really interesting looking plant books. They were a bit on the pricey-side though.
