Reinstalled OS - Modem not recognised

    Hi there,

I recently reinstalled Windows XP on a desktop at home. I had previously changed the dial up modem in the computer and now it is not recognised at all. How do I find out what the modem is so I can then get the drivers to install it properly?

Maybe I'm completely off the mark...any suggestions please?

There is usually a sticker on the modem, google the number on that. Then have a look at the modem PCB itself, you should find a manufacturer or part number on it that you can search for.

    Download sisoft sandra
It will tell you all the hardware installed on your PC. Then just search for the driver
