ps2 no power,after cleaning laser

my v5/6 ps2 was working ok but i decided to clean the laser as it wouldnt play certain games i cleaned my v5/6 ps2 laser put when i put it back together and went to turn her on their was no power,either going to the buttons on the front or the remotes, on closer inspection i herd a sizzling sound coming from power switch…
