hi everyone i was wandering does anybody know any good ps3 offeres that will be there for christmas.my son wants to get a ps3 160gb with:rathchet and clank tools of destruction.....asasins creed and motorstorm all platium games =€30 euro each but u can get 2 for 50 and then 1 for 30 which is 80 euro and then the ps3 is €450 which means everything is going to be €530..............THATS WAY TO MUCH FOR CHRISTMAS so i was wandering is there deals comin out for that kind of stuff im talking bout good deals for after christmas or for christmas day

You should be able to get one or two of those games with the ps3 for 400e, I want two specific games with mine so I am going to try and wrangle them out of game shops when they are not busy-I'd imagine if a consumer is ever going to have a little bit of extra leverage with these things it is now. Apart from that theres little else anyone knows for sure regarding a price cut.

March is rumoured but Id rather spend an extra 100e and have it for xmas.

Make your kid get an 80gb PS3 as well, Id would imagine he has no serious use for a 160gb, although I could be wrong.

he has a lot of things to do on the ps3 will he need the ps3 160gb or 80gb ............there is an offer in gamestop with the 80gb get it with motorstorm pacific rift and an extra controller and 3 used dvds for €440 is thaat good

My PS3 has 4 USB ports.

I don't think you need 160GB for a ten year old. And if he is "downloading" stuff that big then I'd be worried.
You can always upgrade the hard drive yourself later on.
I have a 320GB hard drive in mine.

Game saves and profiles etc wont total 80GB

Assassin's Creed is 15s by the way, and Resistance 2 is 18s. AC is pretty graphic on the killing front.

if u upgrade the hard drive my son will loose all his memory on the 80gb
so thats y he wants to get the 160gb ..........my son is made for the battle field so wats the best fighting and racing and adveture games

That is exactly what I was thinking.

OP just go up North and get the console, you can reserve online in Argos and the likes. If you spend over £50 in Argos you get £5 gift card, over £100 you get a £10. What you could do if they don't have deals is go up to the counter twice, the first time with your over £100 spend, get the card, then go up and get the games with a further £10 off. Myself and my girlfriend did that last week (for other purchases).

Apologies, its the controller you get with the PS3, the PS3 was a movie pack btw and I could have chosen Batman Begins or 300.

Your son will no way use up the 80gb hard drive. Really easy to charge the HD one screw, you may have to format it. If you have a external HD drive you'll be ok.

You speak keeps changing from text speak to normal sppech. So its obviously not just you using the account. For your son to use the amount of downloading he is planning he will need a credit card.

Might want to keep an eye on him/your internet sub if he is using it that much, you wont be long using up your limit!

And no offence but he must be spoilt if your getting so angry here. The boardies are just trying to help you.
You have alot of questions on deals when the easiest thing to do is pick up the phone and ring the shops. Most shops will have similar deals on at the moment. But the newry deal is the best. And remember if he is 10 the next gen games can be very graphic and maybe you might want to take notice of the rating's they are given.:rolleyes:
