RE: Trocaire Global gifts ad, someone in Ireland is buying houses for Indians instead of the Indian Government pulling their weight. Have you lot not seen the Bangalore campus city? Dey terk ur jerbs!

Fair enough if somebody wants to donate to charity, but if they buy a bleeding' goat or donkey for somebody instead of a real pressie.... :mad:

My gripe isn't that people are giving to charity, its that they're giving charity to a country that are our direct competitors in business, primarily because they treat their poor atrociously and suck up to big corporations. We could afford to build the Intel's and Microsoft's of the world big swish campuses too if we stopped paying for social welfare, public healthcare etc. :mad:

KerranJast has a good point. If India can spend money on nukes they obviously don't need our money. India is a democracy so the poor beggar in the street is voting for himself to starve so India can have a nuclear bomb.
